ABOUT US

Founded in January 2024 in Gothenburg, Sweden, as a concept project by Dreamhunter, Dream Villiage was born from a vision to create a band that captured the great metal feeling of the '80s and '90s—though it soon became much more. Dreamhunter reached out to two of his former bandmates, Axel and Tobias, to see if they wanted to join. They immediately said yes, and he explained the vision and concept. Together as a trio, they began writing songs and embarking on this journey. As their music quickly took shape, they realized they needed a powerful, kickass singer to elevate the songs even further. Their search didn't take long—they found Carin right away.

THE BEGINNING AS A FULL BAND

The quartet was officially formed in March 2024, and with Carin's vocals, they began refining and expanding their music. Shortly after, a friend offered them their first gig. On a hot summer day at the end of June, things started to feel real. Their first live show at Rockhyttan in Gothenburg was a smash hit, and after that performance, they were invited back. In early fall, they entered the Emergenza Festival, a major band competition. Their performance impressed the audience, earning them a spot in the semifinals in March 2025. Following their fall debut, they played a mini gig at Hängmattan Open Stage, which was well received. This experience gave them new ideas on planning and structuring their future performances.

HISTORY OF THE CONCEPT

Dreamhunter originally envisioned Dream Villiage as a fantasy concept, describing it as a mystical village filled with creatures. While brainstorming a name, he discovered that many options were already taken. But with a little creativity, "Dream Village" was born—intentionally misspelled as 'Villiage' to fit the lore: a place where all monsters live, yet they cannot spell. With plans to expand this concept further in 2025, the story is just beginning.

LYRICS & LORE

The band's lyrics revolve around themes of werewolves, hidden seas, witches, and vampires, with many more monsters yet to come. Their first major concept, "The Hidden Sea" was designed to immerse only those who believe in the fantasy. It serves as a barrier, preventing non-believers from entering the Villiage. When you find yourself inside the Dream, the story begins. It's not merely a dream state—it's a hidden realm where all kinds of creatures coexist. At the end of 2024, Dream Villiage recorded their first single. The experience was incredible, and the release is coming soon.
